While I love seeing my projects through from the first idea to final installation, I realized that not every client needs the full service experience. Sometimes it's because they just need to finish off a few spaces. Other times it's simply because they prefer to be more involved.

My Design Day service was created specifically with these clients in mind to provide them with a high-quality design plan they can feel confident implementing as their schedule and budget allow. 

​

It would be my pleasure to partner with you to create a beautiful space that reflects your style and meets your needs. You'll have my support throughout the service so you can enjoy a fun and exciting design experience.  

THE PROCESS

The Design Day Experience

01 -  GETTING TO KNOW YOU

Before we officially start your project, I'll ask you to share important details so I can better understand your design style and lifestyle.

 

This phase includes:

 

  • A detailed design questionnaire I will thoroughly review prior to your design day

  • A review of your inspiration images to better understand your style and goals

  • A simple measuring and photography guide so I can create floor plans and visualize your space

02 - YOUR DESIGN DAY

This phase includes:

 

  • Up to 2 hours of uninterrupted in-home design time

  • Hands-on professional design expertise

  • Assistance with prioritizing your goals

  • Tackling as many design challenges as we can in our time together

 

Schedule:

 

A portion of your total design time will be spent working together in your home, and the remainder will be spent behind the scenes selecting specific pieces and elements for your design plan.

03 - YOUR DESIGN PLAN & SUPPORT

This phase includes:

  • Behind-the-scenes design time sourcing products from trade vendors and trusted retailers

  • A comprehensive digital design plan with recommended furniture, accessories, and layout suggestions

  • Designer tips and ideas to help bring your space to life

  • A virtual presentation to walk you through your plan

  • Reselection of up to 2 items if requested within 7 days of presentation

  • One week of email support to answer questions and offer guidance as you implement the design

  • Purchasing assistance for any items being ordered through Rachel Frey Interiors

  • A Resource Guide with my favorite tools, vendors, and tips

Timeline:
Your design plan will be delivered via email within two business days of our session. Email support begins on the day your plan is shared and continues for one week.

IS DESIGN DAY FOR YOU?

THIS SERVICE IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You have a space that’s mostly furnished but doesn’t feel quite finished

  • You’re stuck choosing final touches like lighting, rugs, art, or accessories

  • You want expert guidance without committing to full-service design

  • You’re comfortable making purchases and managing installations yourself

  • You’re looking for a quick, high-impact design session with a clear plan to move forward

  • You enjoy being hands-on but want a designer’s trained eye and professional input

THIS SERVICE IS NOT FOR YOU IF:

  • You’re undergoing a full renovation or new build that requires detailed project management

  • You need ongoing design support beyond a one-time session

  • You prefer your designer to handle all purchasing, ordering, and installations

  • You’re not ready to make decisions or take action after the session

  • You want a full room transformation with layered styling and contractor coordination

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IF IT'S NOT MY STYLE?

The Design Day is a quick turnaround limited service, and the more details you share about your preferences in your questionnaire and inspiration images, the more likely I will be able to nail your design on the first try. Sometimes I'll include a few options if I see several that could work; other times, I'll provide what I believe is the best option for your space.

 

In the event you'd like additional options, I recommend using my suggestions as a reference for style, size, color, pattern, finish, etc. as you find something more to your liking.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE ITEMS?

I select a combination of trade and retail items based on what you share in your design questionnaire about your budget and the look you are hoping to achieve.

HOW DO I ORDER?

For items recommended through my trade sources, I'll invoice you and then take care of placing and tracking your orders. For retail items recommended, you'll handle the ordering and tracking on your own.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND A SUBCONTRACTOR?

The Design Day service doesn't include any coordination of subcontractors or project management, but I can make suggestions for local subcontractors for your project if I have a resource. You would then be responsible for requesting quotes and contracting with them directly.

WILL THERE BE INSTALLATION?

The Design Day is a limited service and does not include installation. I'll keep you updated on the status of items ordered through Rachel Frey Interiors so you can coordinate delivery times that are convenient for your schedule. You'll be able to reference your design plan, your digital design presentation, and my emails during your support phase to pull the room together with all the items suggested.
